mugshots of sydney criminals in the 1920s
Years ago I went to an exhibition at The Sydney Justice and Police Museum and saw an exhibit called City of Shadows. It showed stunningly beautiful police mugshots of the underbelly of Sydney. I love the appearance of Thonet’s Bentwood chair.
This last image is actually a woman dressed as a man and she was convicted of murdering her wife. You can read more about Eugenia Falleni aka Harry Crawford in this Sydney Morning Herald article.
