I’ve read mixed reviews about this lounge but I have to say all those naysayers need their heads read. As a prequel to a Business Class trip this lounge is just fabulous. True the views are nothing special as you mostly just get roofs and a very distant city skyline but it’s what’s inside that makes it special.
Service is key and the Qantas staff don’t disappoint. They’re constantly replenishing the food area, cleaning up and are really helpful when choosing wines, I had to knock back a full blown tasting. We’re here at breakfast and the scrambled eggs are delicious. Very impressed Qantas.
On top of all that you get to soak up all things Marc Newson. The chairs, furnishings, carpets, plates and cutlery are a Newson complete package and he’s created a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
So if you ever get the chance, kick back and enjoy the free Internet, Macs, mags, food and booze before you jet off to somewhere fabulous.
